Hi I’m Jess Keane. I grew up on my family farm in Waterford with the smell of my dads’ orchard brimming with delicious apples. From these, my mum makes the tastiest apple juice in Ireland! www.irishapplejuice.com.
Fresh, wholesome, locally grown food has always been part of my life and I took this passion further by studying the powerful effect of good nutrition on your body. With the right changes to diet and lifestyle, I can help you re-invigorate your health and well being, reach your goals and achieve your ambitions.
Consistently, I have found that you reach your goals most successfully when there is a support structure in place with regular check-ins and an encouraging voice to reach out to. Maintaining your achievements then becomes a familiar habit.
Background
I graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BSc degree in Biochemistry. This training gave me a detailed understanding of how our bodies thrive. I spent five years gaining valuable experience working as a freelance cook in England and France. Then I completed post graduate qualifications in Nutritional Therapy with Middlesex University, England. I’m now a member of the professional association of Nutritional Therapists of Ireland.
I have a keen interest in helping people improve the quality of their lives by educating about nutrition. I’m often amazed at how a few simple changes can be enough to bring profound improvements. I developed a Healthy Eating Curriculum which was integrated into the national curriculum of the schools in the London Borough of Hammersmith and now teach parents and their children with emotional and behavioural problems to cook nutritious food.
I currently lecture for the College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dublin and the Centre of Nutrition Education, England. I regularly give talks and cookery demonstrations nationwide. I offer private consultations in the Fermoy, Dungarvan and Dublin.
